Lovely hotel with friendly staff and locals.We were given our key at 4.30 on the Monday, only to find the room hadn’t been cleaned from previous guests. We were given complimentary drinks while they set up the room. The next day (Tuesday) the housekeeping had been done when we came back from day out. Unfortunately when we got back to the hotel at 8.30pm on Wednesday the room was as we left it. We had no clean cups for the morning and there was only decaf coffee as it hadn’t been replaced. This was a bit disappointing.We only had breakfast on Tuesday as Wednesday they could only offer cereals, pastries and yoghurt due to work being done in the kitchen.The friendliness of the staff made up for the shortfall on house keeping . Would like to give a shoutout to Freddie who made us feel so welcome in the bar.- K
The George Inn room over the downstairs bar was good size, very clean, and remarkably quiet.- S
Comfortable rooms, friendly service and food a cut above.Great location for the coast, walks, castles and gardens.- Alan M
